What’s on your work desk?

It’s been awhile since I did one of these posts, but here tis – a peek at my work desk!

Currently covered in ephemera, paint, gesso and other messy things as I work on my cards for the Inspired Deck swap. Can’t wait to post these babies off!

Just a quick post from me this time round – I’m off to check out all the other WOYWW participants….not gonna lie, I love a nosey look at what everyone else is doing lol

Inspired Deck Swap

I stumbled across this post yesterday, over on In Search Of Dessert, and was immediately hooked, and bummed that I’d missed my chance to join in. The general idea – paint/decorate a deck of playing cards, and finish each off with an inspiring quote. They are then sent to Jessica, who divides them all up into mixed decks, and each participant receives one in return. Can you say cool?? The pic below is a deck Jessica has created.

I decided to take a chance and email Jessica and hope for the best. So I was super excited this morning, to wake to find that Jessica had emailed ME in the meantime, asking if I’d like to join in! I’m now in the gesso stage, and then I plan on diving in with paint, papers, stitching – anything that makes me happy! Once I’ve got something other than gesso on my cards, I’ll post a little pic to show you all my progress.

Huge Closing Sale

 

 

I have made the decision to retire from digi design, and as a result my store at Scrap Orchard will close February 28th. I couldn't just close up shop without a darn good sale, so everything in my store, excluding Orchard collabs, is a massive 50% off!

I've loved my time as a designer, and especially love seeing everyone’s creations with my products – never fails to put a smile on my face. I hope to still see you all around digiland!

Whirlwind...

So long betwen posts, yet again lol Life has been a total whirlwind lately! Wedding plans are well under way and in fact, almost everything is done. Just a few last details to work on now :) We got the first draft of our cermony today and it's amazing - I can't wait for the day to arrive!

Aside from wedding plans, I'v just been working and being a mum. The kids had been home for summer break and life got crazy! I haven't even had time for artsy stuff lately - my last journal page was Dec 4th 0_o I'm hoping to get out into my studio tomorrow, and work on a video to share with you all. I've had a project in mind for awhile now, and since the kids are back at school and kindy now I should hopefully have some time!
